Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

We’re having a wonderful time visiting family and friends at home in Washington, Oregon, and Colorado.  We were all surprised after being away so long and living in such a different ‘world’ how everything at home (accept for the kids!) seemed to have stayed the same.  All the comforts of home, our friends, and family were right where we left them.  This was an unexpected blessing and somehow reassuring to us as we visit home, but still plan on returning to Nicaragua.

I was worried that our home visit would be so nice, we wouldn’t want to leave (especially the kids!)  But contrarily we’re finding that we are being recharged and re-energized and it is very comforting to know that we can go away for another year and our loving community will still be here when we come back.

We’re also getting to share pictures, stories and experiences with our church, family and friends.  It is powerful to get to share more about our teaching mission in person with so many people, and encouraging to see others gain understanding of why we believe so strongly in our teaching mission. 

We have two more presentations planned in Eugene, OR and E. Wenatchee, WA, if you’re able to make it we’d love to see you and share more with you about where we’re teaching and what we’ll be doing this year.  An important part of our time at home is also for raising funds for our second year.  We are so thankful for those of you, who have already pledged to continue your monthly support!  We are in need however of more one time or monthly donations.
